WHERE TO PLAY?

11/03/2024 - IMPORTANT NOTICE

(11/12/2024 - small update)

Hi there! Your visit is really, really appreciated!

Unfortunately, this website will eventually be shut down, since the project itself is going through a huge, huge metamorphosis. I am saying that because it's not necessarily cancelled or anything - noting that some concepts I had for this project could carry over to it's new form -, but given everything that has happened to me over the course of past 12+ months, I am no longer in the right mental state to continue trying working on the game as it's currently presented.

I will share more details on what's been going on and what lead to making this decision some time in the future, but that's the shortest summary of the reasoning I can provide.

I will be posting about it on my personal BlueSky and Mastodon profiles and this game's Steam News and Indie DB pages.

Please note that this game's Steam page could get a MASSIVE makeover to reflect on the project's metamorphosis after having a conversation with Valve about it. The game's Indie DB page may eventually have to be retired, too. But I will leave a notice prior to a time when I'll actually do it.

In the meantime, you may snoop around the "replacement project's" Game Jolt and itch pages. Or proceed to it's website that is now in construction as of this notice's editing time.

To some of you folks who have been genuinely looking forward to Stramedia: Injury Plateau, I sincerely apologize that this has come to this. That decision was not taken lightly, so I could prioritize improving my mental health as I am planning things out for the game's new form, so I don't go clinically insane after when I start it's production.

Stramedia was originally supposed to be nothing more of a study project, and as long as I've spent working on it, I've already managed to learn A LOT. And I don't just mean learning new skills, getting comfortable with exploring different development tools, and improving on my craft - these bits are, without a doubt, some stuff I am extremely proud of - but as I was working on this thing and going overboard, I also learned things that I should and should NOT be doing.

If I am not able to show off what I've learned over the past decade of my life through Stramedia - as a finished product, I might as well do that through a different game where you would have to walk through a literal Human Wasteyard instead, hopefully with a much cleaner and stable state of mind.

Thank you for your understanding.

I will be back with you shortly, hopefully not for very long now.
